The Global Biennial of Graphic Design GOLDEN BEE - Moscow 2016
Exhibition of posters from the world's largest festival of graphic design

The Faculty of Visual Arts in cooperation with Dukley European Art Community from Budva and with the support of the National Library "Radosav Ljumović" from Podgorica will host an exhibition of the Global Biennial of Graphic Design “Golden Bee” Moscow, the biggest festival of graphic design ever. Golden Bee was founded in 1992 in order to gather the world's highest achievements in the field of posters and other fields of graphic design; to promote and encourage international cooperation that helps elevate levels of creative and spiritual potential of graphic design; to enable the creation of high standards in the design and to show the tendencies in the field of visual culture. As such, the Moscow Biennale is one of a kind catalyst of development. “Golden Bee” in Moscow, under the patronage of AGI (International Graphic Alliance), each time shows from 1000 to 1500 works by authors from 70 to 80 countries, and has therefore become the largest design competition in the world. After the show in Prague, Berlin and other world capitals, the exhibition arrives in Podgorica and it will display 140 posters, of which thirty are unique originals. The exhibition represents a cross-section of the current Biennale, and it will be opened in the attic of the National Library "Radosav Ljumović" on 12 May at 19h by its founder and president Serge Serov, who will also hold a short lecture on the tradition of “The Bee.”

Serge Serov, 1952
Art historian, art critic, curator, editor, publisher, expert, teacher, art director and graphic designer. He graduated from the Moscow Institute of Telecommunications (1974) and Rjepinov Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture at the Academy of Fine Arts (1986).

Publications include the following books: Style in Graphic Design. 60s-80s (1991); Best Symbols and Logos 1990-1995 (1995); Moscow-Poster / Address: Moscow (1995); Best Business Cards of Russia (1997); Golden Bee. Posters of the 90s. He is also one of the authors and curators of the Phaidon library- Area. 10 curators, designers 100, classics 10 (2004), in cooperation with Nick Bell, Anthon Beeke, Werner Jeker, Uwe Loesch, Fernando Gutiérrez, Stefan Sagmeister, Ken Cato i Shigeo Fukuda.

Editor in the magazine Advertising: Theory and Practice (1983-1991), editor in chief of the international quarters for graphic design Greatis (1992-1994), editor-consultant for newspapers Advertiser (1995-1996), chief editor of Design Union (1997-1998) , artistic director of the Christian magazine the Truth and the Life (1995-2009), guest editor for INTERNI Russia (2011-2013).
He is the member of the Committee of the National Award for Arts and Literature under the protection of the President of Russia (1996-2003). He had organized and designed more than 200 design exhibitions and competitions in Russia and abroad. He is the president of the Global Biennial of Graphic Design Golden Bee Moscow (since 1992).

He is the founder and head of Higher Academic School of Graphic Design (1997) and Montenegrin School of Art and Design Golden Bee Academy (since 2016); professor and head of the master's studies at the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration (since 2014) and head of the Department (since 2017). Visiting professor at the National Institute of Design (since 2001) and the at the School of Design at the National College of Economic Research (since 2015).
Member (since 1992), President (2007-2011), Vice-President (since 2011) of the Academy of Graphic Design (member of ICOGRADA-icoD, 1993-2010).

Member of the International Graphic Alliance (Alliance Graphique Internationale - AGI), the Association of Art Critics (Association of Art Critics - AIS), the Union of designers of Russia, honorary member of the Association of the Biennial in Brno, honorary member of the Union of designers of Ukraine, etc.

Awards: Rodchenko Award, Gold Medal of Honor for public recognition, honorary diploma of the Council of the UN for public awards etc.
