These days out of the woods came out brightly illuminated animals that were designed by the students and professors of the Faculty of Visual Arts of the University Mediterranean.

The installations were created in Mojkovac these days. Wanting to point out some of the current issues related to the protection of the environment, the students marked the hinterland as one of the most inspirational locations due to the fact that until recently this area was one of the largest ecological black holes in Montenegro and is actually an extremely attractive area that can be made even more attractive and interesting to visitors by means of various artistic interventions. This topic gets particularly important due to the current transformation of this area into the tourist zone. In addition to the hinterland, the FVA team placed the installations in Biogradska Gora and other interesting locations in the north.
The students of the Faculty of Visual Arts say that the main idea behind the project was to put an accent on the animals living in this area, such as bears, wolves and foxes, which were made of iron constructions for this occasion. The choice of LEDs, fluorescent colours, new technologies etc. has been dictated by the digital age we live in; as a result, the contrast between the natural beauty and the contamination characterizing modern, digital era becomes much more striking. By combining the seemingly incompatible − positioning geometric illuminated installations into a fantastic natural environment − young artists wanted to point out great ecological problems and the necessity to protect the environment.
In addition, students and professors, who worked together, carried out a land art painting attraction on the snow, depicting geometric shapes that can be seen from the air. The geometric shapes in the snow create the impression of the presence of inorganic in the organic, artificial in the natural, imaginary in the real, irrational in the rational and material in the immaterial, and are also aimed at pointing out the necessity of the protection of the environment and its adequate valorisation.
These activities are realized within the framework of the Multimedia Studio project carried out by the Faculty of Visual Arts with the support of the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Science.
