The Embassy of Japan informs all interested parties that a competition for MEXT (Monbukagakusho) scholarships for 2019 for candidates from Serbia and Montenegro has been opened since Wednesday, April 18, 2018. The scholarships are awarded by the Ministry of Education, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT) of the Government of Japan, and the Competition is open until Friday, May 25, 2018.

There are two types of scholarships:

for undergraduates (lasting five years)
for students of researchers, postgraduates (for two years)
(Both categories include a mandatory Japanese language learning period.)

It is necessary that all interested candidates submit their applications to the address of the Japanese Embassy in the Republic of Serbia, Trešnjinog cveta 13, 11070 Novi Beograd with the indication "application for MEXT 2019" and electronically at This email address is being protected from spambots.
