The representatives of the University of Mediterranean and the University of Donja Gorica participated in the seminar Trainers Western Balkans and HEInnovate: Supporting Institutional Change in Higher Education within the framework of the HEInnovate initiative implemented by the European Commission.
The aims of the initiative are to strengthen the entrepreneurial dimension of higher education institutions and to connect with the business community. The seminar was held on 15th and 16th November in Sofia, and its participants were the representatives of the higher education institutions, the ministries and the Erasmus office from Montenegro, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Macedonia and Albania.
During the second day of the seminar, the participants organized the workshops. The workshop on introducing entrepreneurial spirit into a higher education system, led by the representatives of Montenegro – asst.prof. Anđela Jakšić, PhD, from the University of Mediterranean and prof. Milica Vukotić, PhD, from the University of Donja Gorica, was proclaimed the most creative and most innovative workshop of the event. The unusual approach in which the entrepreneurial principles were presented through the analysis of Shakespeare's verses and contemporary pop/dance/electronic music as well as the introduction of the latest IT technology was greeted with enthusiasm of the representatives of the European Commission, who awarded this significant prize to the group led by the representatives from Montenegro .
